Job vacancy - toilet manager

Delabole Parish Council is recruiting for a toilet manager for the public toilets in the village.
Hours and pay negotiable.

Measles information

Cases of measles are rising across England, including among children. It’s an infection that spreads very easily and for some people can cause serious problems.
It is particularly easy to catch in environments when in close contact with others, such as nurseries and schools. There are currently large outbreaks in London and Birmingham, and we have experienced some outbreaks in the south-west already.

Walk to School route update- Cabinet meeting this Wednesday (December 13)

Cornwall Council cabinet will be discussing the Pedestrian Route Assessment Review (relating to Home to School Travel Assistance) on Wednesday, December 13th at 10am.

Roadworks Rockhead to Camelford Station

B3314 Carriageway Repair works have started (November 27) between Rockhead in Delabole and Camelford Station.
It is expected to continue to Tuesday, December 12 and the road will be closed between 7.30am and 5pm.
CORMAC has said that marshals will be on site to support residents and businesses needing local access.
All through traffic will need to follow the diversions in place.

Closure intention - Medrose

Cornwall Council has notified the parish council of a proposed temporary road closure in the village in December.

Medrose Street will be closed on December 6 from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

20mph Roll-out

The Camelford Area Network has been selected to take part in a 20mph roll-out. This includes Delabole. Research provides a case for introducing 20mph limits, and there is a strong link between traffic speed and the number of collisions and severity of injuries.
